New Features

Disable Presets

The presets for lights or blinds can generally be changed and saved via a short-long press of the light switch.
This preset configuration functionality can be disabled via the interface in the System / System Settings / Preset Settings in cases, for example, where one doesn't want anyone manipulating the presets in publicly-accessible areas.  The presets can still be programmed via the dSS Configurator.

Energy Consumption Messages from Inline Power Adapters and Relays

The devices SW-ZWS200/210 and SW-KL200 offer the possibility of generating messages based on when power usage exceeds or drops below certain levels.  One can determine, for example, whether a television was on or off.  These events can then (can also?) be used as triggers in a custom server application, where one can send an email, call a preset or perform any number of possible automatic responses.
The power consumption messages can be configured within the Configurator under the Hardware tab, Power Consumption Configuration

User Defined Actions

The new Server-App provides the capability to combine multiple actions together into a "User-Defined Action".
This allows you to define, for example, a single action that turns off all the lights on the first floor of your house and opens all the shutters.  Once this action is defined, it can easily be used server apps such as the timer, or called as a "favorite" in smartphone apps (currently only on iPhone).
Capitalize server? Is it a name? When to use dSS, dSS11, digitalSTROM-Server, server, etc.  Make usage consistent across the document!

Configuring App-Buttons

Joker modules, like the SW-TKM200/210, can be set to respond like a module of any of the predefined color groups.  If they are not assigned a color group, the input can function as an "App-Button" and not perform any prefefined function, such as controlling lights or blinds.
App Buttons can be used in server apps, such as scene responders, or as notification to trigger other actions and/or send emails.  This allows a single button to play a variety of functions like calling (triggering, running, executing?) your User-Defined Actions.

Power Consumption Display

The new server app provides a visualization of power consumption.  The consumption can be viewed per-circuit in a variety of time units.
"server app? Should this be capitalized like a proper name? Make consistent across the document

Server-Apps Extensions

The server apps Timed Switches, Scene Responders and Notifications have been redesigned and their functionality expanded.

dSID Location Functionality

A new function is available for the location and identification of installed dSID hardware.  You perform this by selecting the Meter toolbar and then the menu item Find Device; then press the button on any dSID in the installation.  A dialog will now show the details of that dSID and allow the user to rename it.

TODO: verify consistent and intended use of "device" and "dSID"

Configuration of all Available Presets

The server app can also call presets which are not available via a button.  These presets can be displayed and configured by selecting the Action tab / Show All Presets item.
For example, one can call a preset as an automatic alarm clock or simulate occupancy while away from the house.

Registering a digitalSTROM Server

One can registering their digitalSTROM Server under the System Registration tab so that one will receive automatic notification when updates are available.

USB Update

For those with no internet connection to their dSS, one can perform a software update via a USB stick.  The latest version can be downloaded from http://www.aizo.com/de/Softwareupdates.php and copied to the USB stick.  Information regarding how to perform this type of installation is available in the Installation Handbook, Chapter 5.2.10.2.
